Elsie is a 4 year old English Beagle mix. She lost an eye to an injury, but has the most optimistic, upbeat personality. She still needs one more surgery before she is up for adoption. Can you help today? 

Cali is a 4 year old yellow Labrador Retriever. She is heartworm positive, and has not been spayed due to the risk of anesthesia with this condition. When funds allow, she will be treated and spayed. She is great with other dogs, knows basic obedience commands and loves people.

Kobe is a 2 year old English Beagle mix. He is neutered and weighs 40 pounds. Kobe is a friendly guy who gets along with everyone. He would do well in any situation. Kobe is a bombproof pup who loves food and attention. Among his favorite activities are dancing for food and going on walks.

ADOPTED_Ticker is a 1-2 year old spayed Red Tick Hound. Ticker was picked up by animal control roaming the countryside, apparently lost from her hunting pack. She was malnourished and scared. Hunting dogs and hounds are pretty much the first to be euthanized at shelters down South. After a few days of optimistically jumping at the door of her cage at the shelter, she began to withdraw. She was very depressed and had a urinary tract infection. So, Ticker came back with us to under go her recovery. As it turned out, she was heartworm positive. She was treated and recovered successfully. She is on heartworm preventative, as is every other dog here, to stop any new worms from developing. She has a playful, upbeat personality. She has started basic obedience training and is housebroken. She gets along well with people and dogs. She has a very short coat that barely sheds.

MAX IS THE DOG4U PET OF THE MONTH SEPTEMBER 2009

Max is a 3 year old neutered male Collie mix. Max was brought to the local shelter because he was quite the barker. He still likes to talk, but with daily attention he has relaxed and is now ready to find his forever home. Max does well with most dogs, but does not do well with cats. He is very people friendly and enjoys long walks. He is housebroken.

Mini is a 1 year old dauxshund mix. Mini is a sweet little girl with a fiesty personality. She gets along well with dogs, cats, and most people. Being the smallest dog in the house, she has to make sure she doesn't get stepped on! She would like a home where a little girl can be appreciated.
